Technique, Artistry and Presentation with Paul Wylie – Youth Program – July 20 & 21, 2018

Technique, Artistry & Presentation is a 2-day on and off-ice clinic led by 1992 Olympic Silver Medalist, World Professional Figure Skating Champion, US Figure Skating Hall of Famer and PSA Master Rated Coach, PAUL WYLIE.
Paul is known for his exquisite artistry, sharp and controlled footwork and proven jump and spin technique. This clinic will focus on helping skaters to improve their body positions, spin entries, edges, jump and spin technique and skating performance.
SKATING LEVEL: ALL LEVELS BASIC 6 to SENIOR FREESTYLE. Skaters will be grouped according to level.
SIZE OF CLINIC AND LEVELS: In order for optimal time and attention to all skaters, the clinic will be capped at 60 YOUTH skaters.
SAMPLE CLINIC TOPICS: Competition Preparation and Warm Up Techniques, Off-Ice Jump Class, On-Ice Skills-Footwork, Edges and Edge Jumps, Spin Entries, Basic Positions, Centering and Speed, Toe Jumps, Combination Jumps, Flying Spins and Difficult Variations, Components and Choreography, Mental Preparedness, Passion & Presentation.
YOUTH PROGRAM: $180 per skater
Friday, July 20, 2018: 11:00am – 3:30pm

    Two On and Off-Ice Sessions

Saturday, July 21, 2018: 10:00am – 4:15pm

    Three On and Off-Ice Sessions

There will be two leveled groups of 30 skaters alternating on and off the ice. Each group will then be broken into smaller groups of similar levels.
Individual schedules will be emailed the week of July 2nd.

  RELEASE: In consideration of the participant being permitted to register and participate in ice skating at The Philadelphia Skating Club & Humane Society, we do hereby forever release and discharge its Directors, Agents, Employees and any person or corporation connected herewith from all manner of action, injury, damages, costs, claims or demands which we will, shall, or may hereafter have suffer or receive by reason of each participant in any program at The Philadelphia Skating Club & Humane Society release shall be binding on our heirs, assigns, executors and administrators. It is further agreed that The Philadelphia Skating Club & Humane Society shall not be considered to guarantee or warrant such equipment as may be used in the conducting of said ice skating program. I also hereby agree to permit the video recording and/or photography of this activity for purposes of program advertisement by PSCHS.
