About PSCHS

ABOUT PSCHS

OUR MISSION:

The Philadelphia Skating Club and Humane Society, America’s first skating club, preserves and promotes the sport, art and history of figure skating for recreation and competition.

People come to the PSCHS because they or their children want to skate. They stay because of our excellent coaches and staff, fantastic and plentiful ice, friendly atmosphere, and convenient location in a club-owned, year round facility in Philadelphia’s Main Line suburb of Ardmore.

Our welcoming environment, comprehensive on- and off-ice skating programs and fun social events promote camaraderie, sportsmanship, health and fitness for children and adults at all skill levels.

Our rink is unique because it is truly geared for figure skating with high quality ice, abundant natural light, a wall of mirrors, no boards and no hockey teams.

Come and skate with us, watch your favorite skaters from our warm lounges, or check out our fully stocked skate shop and skate sharpening services.

Explore this Website to learn more about membership and public skating at PSCHS.

PSCHS has something for everyone, old or young, experienced or beginner.

Unlike a regular rink, our club is owned by our members and many of our activities are solely dedicated to their enjoyment and advancement.

In these days of constant scheduling and stress, there is no better place for family fun and fitness …. family-centered activities, recreation and fun, exercise, camaraderie, competitions, exhibitions, tests, camps, Special Olympics, and much more.
