Skating and Social Events

There is an old saying around the locker rooms – if you don’t mind making a fool of yourself by trying to stand on a quarter inch of metal on the ice, you certainly won’t mind having a good time at a party. Skaters, and those they love, are especially fun creatures and always manage to have a good time at social events. During the Club year, we have a number of different events:

The Great Skate

This party annually opens the club season. It is a great way to greet and meet other members. The children have a great time participating in on-ice games,  while the adults socialize and participate in the Auction; the proceeds of which go to the Competitors Fund.

Annual Meeting and Dinner

Held after the end of the season each year.

Family-centered Activities

Throughout the year, there are numerous family activities sponsored by the Junior Committee. These include the Holiday Show, the Club Competition, and a host of others. These events require everyone’s participation in planning and getting them to happen. Involvement in one of these can be a great way to meet and get to know other members.  Family Skating Sessions are scheduled Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.  Additional family sessions are scheduled during the holidays.  These sessions are a great way to entertain family and friends.
