SKATING & SOCIAL EVENTS
There is an old saying around the locker rooms – if you don’t mind making a fool of yourself by trying to stand on a quarter inch of metal on the ice, you certainly won’t mind having a good time at a party. Skaters, and those they love, are especially fun creatures and always manage to have a good time at social events. During the Club season, we have a number of different events:
Family-centered Activities
Throughout the year, there are numerous family activities sponsored by the Junior Committee. These include the Holiday and Spring Shows, the Club Competition, and a host of others. These events require everyone’s participation in planning and getting them to happen and are a great way to get to know other members. Family Skating Sessions are scheduled on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with additional sessions scheduled during the holidays. These sessions are a great way to entertain family and friends and share your love of skating.
The Great Skate
This party annually opens the club season. It is a great way to greet and meet other members. The children have a great time participating in on-ice games, while the adults socialize and participate in the Auction; the proceeds of which go to the Competitors Fund.
Annual Meeting and Dinner
Held after the end of the season each year. A great way to connect with fellow skaters off the ice!
